Frequently Asked Questions
1. When should I use a sealer, what type of sealer should
I apply and will it change the color?
It is really a matter of preference. Most people that use cast
stone like it to have a primitive look. Other people want to seal
it just to make it easier to maintain. There are many sealers
you can use; most of the time we use 511 porous plus. Sealing
does not change the color of your cast stone. Normally, sealing
only nees to be done once a year. Otherwise, you can just clean
it with a small pressure washer.
2. How well does the product stand up to weather and time?
Cast stone is one of the most durable matrials you can use. It
is a mixture of concrete and aggregates. The aggregates are mixed
into the concrete to insure the strength of the stone.
3. Would I be able to afford cast stone?
Anyone can afford cast stone. On a new home, you can put the
cost right into your mortgage. With just a couple thousand in
cast stone, you can really enhance the beauty of your home or
business. Designing with cast stone is unique, the product is
reliable and the possibilities are endless.
4. Why should I use cast stone instead of stucco?
Stucco is a decorative material usually made of portland cement,
sand, and a small percentage of lime, and applied in a plastic
state to form a hard covering for exterior and interior surfaces
to give it the look of cast stone. Most stucco requires painting
and repainting in case it fades or flakes, exposing the original
color. Cast stone is made the desired color when the concrete
is first mixed, therefore generating the product to have the preferred
color throughout, meaning that you never need to paint. Cast stone
is a product designed to provide an original, timeless look to
enjoy year after year without the worries of extensive maintenance.
5. Would I be able to choose the color?
You can make the color of your profile any color you like. Usually,
cast stone is made in buff, white or beige. All we need is a color
sample or an idea of the color that you're looking for. Then we
match it with a dye and add it to the concrete mix.
6. Will True Stone be able to fabricate any design I need?
True Stone has a variety of standard moldings. However, we can
manufacture any profile you need. Our team of technicians can
take a sketch or an idea and turn it into a mold with the finish
you choose. The concrete is then poured into your mold and hardened.

once we receive a deposit, production should begin within one
to three weeks. Anyone needing to know exact scheduling should
